Trip to the Alaska Summer Arts Festival in Review - My Own Hesitant Singer Video

If you are an artist that is looking for an opportunity to experiment, take risks, and explore your art in a safe, nurturing, and fun environment, the Fairbanks Summer Arts Festival is FOR YOU! Nowhere else is there a better collection of professional artists and teachers ready to work with you. The magic happens here because in Alaska’s Interior, far away from the mayhem of traditional Lower 48 life, the guest artists tend to let their guard down, tend to happily work with novices, tend to have fun being part of the festival community culture.

MY story, my current musical incarnation, grew from this festival, and last month I had the great opportunity to return to my Hesitant Singer roots. As you can see from the pictures in prior posts, the Sing Your Song Cabaret performance is filled with stories that pull you in completely. You will laugh, cry, and watch with awe at the depth and power of the singers’ stories. In 4-5 short days, these performances come together under the skilled and nurturing guidance of Ron Drotos at keyboardimprov.com.

Here is my solo performance of a tune by the generous and humorous songwriter John Forster….. ROAD TRIP!!
